Activation compliance
Outreach to customers is regulated, and it should be. Thread's floor exists so that using an agent on your installed base follows the practices regulators and carriers expect, enforced in the runtime, on every guide, every channel, every wake. Not a settings page someone remembers to configure.
The floor, in full
Consent before the first text. Accounts enroll under your consent posture, attested before any outreach. No consent on record, no first message, the guide cannot skip this step.
STOP ends it, instantly. Opt-out keywords are honored at the runtime level, across every channel, the moment they arrive. Re-engagement requires fresh consent.
Quiet hours, recipient-local. Sending windows follow the recipient's timezone, not your office's. A guide that "wants" to send at 6am simply can't.
Every dial asks a human first. No outbound AI call goes out without a human approving it. No exceptions, no batch overrides.
The agent says what it is. Disclosure posture, how the guide identifies itself on calls and texts, is set with you before launch and enforced in the agent's instructions, aligned with emerging AI-disclosure rules.
Recording follows the strictest rule that applies. Call-recording posture is configured to the applicable consent requirements before the first dial, including two-party-consent jurisdictions.
Every step in the log. Every message, dial, approval, read, and outcome is logged and auditable. The outreach report and the compliance record are the same document.
Registered numbers, your brand. Guides text and call on numbers registered to you, under carrier registration requirements (10DLC and equivalents), with your brand and your consent language.
Why it's built this way
The reason you can put an agent on 5,000 accounts is that the floor never comes off. Add your own rules on top, vertical-specific language, extra approval tiers, stricter windows, and the runtime enforces those too. Your counsel gets the full posture documentation during the pilot.
Nothing on this page is legal advice, it's how the product behaves. Your consent posture, disclosure language, and recording rules are reviewed with your team before the first message ever sends.
